The mayor of Grenoble may stand for presidential election-2022


Eric Piol, mayor of Grenoble and a prominent figure in the Europe Ecology Greens party, said during an interview with BFM TV that he would announce his candidacy for the French presidential election after the regional council elections, that is, in the spring of 2021. Piol confirmed that a candidate with an environmental agenda will definitely appear in the 2022 elections, but he is not yet sure whether he will be. The environmental agenda, which should change society, will definitely receive its candidate in the presidential election, Piol said. Recall, on September 2, the former French Prime Minister from the Socialist Party, Lionel Jospin, in an interview with the French magazine L Obs, called on the country's left and green parties to unite to maybe win the 2022 presidential election.
