China to discuss poverty alleviation with UN agencies

On Saturday, September 26, a high-level UN videoconference will be held to reduce and overcome poverty and South-South interaction; the Chinese side will be represented on it by Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as Xinhua reports on September 25, citing a statement by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin. It is reported that along with the PRC, the conference is organized by the UN Development Program (UNDP) and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The event will be held as part of the 75th anniversary of the UN.
