Fighter Chimaev knocked out McKee, setting a UFC record
Swedish mixed-style fighter (MMA) of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev defeated Northern Ireland representative Rhys McKee, setting a promotion record for the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) at the UFC Fight Island 3 tournament in Abu Dhabi. This was reported on July 26 by ufcrussia. The fight with McKee ended in the fourth minute of the first round, when the judge awarded the victory by technical knockout to Chimaev, who did not miss a single blow during the match. Thus, Hazamat Chimaev won the second victory in UFC fights in ten days, which became the new UFC record. Note that now the Swedish fighter has eight victories in MMA without a single defeat, which all ended ahead of schedule. For his counterpart, for whom this fight was the debut in the UFC, this is the third defeat in MMA with ten victories and one draw.
