Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to India

The new ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, Dilshod Akhatov, left for Delhi, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic said on June 18. Earlier, Akhatov worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. In different years, he held positions in the structure of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The diplomat speaks German and English. Recall that from 2017 to 2020, the post of Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India was held by Farkhod Arziev. He was appointed First Deputy Foreign Minister of February 2020.
