Poroshenko proposed to postpone the date of the celebration of the Ukrainian constitution
Former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko proposed to postpone the celebration of the country's Constitution Day from June 28 to April 5. According to him, Ukraine is a European country with long traditions, so the country should be proud that one of the first constitutions of the world is the Treaties and decrees of the rights and liberties of the Zaporizhzhya Army, which Philip Orlik signed on April 5, 1710. Perhaps the time has come to postpone Constitution Day to April 5th? he said during his video message on the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine. Recall that Philip Orlik created his political and legal project in the hope of the victory of the troops of Charles XII in the Northern War over Russia. After the Swedish troops were defeated, Orlik, being in exile, unsuccessfully tried to get the forgiveness of Peter I. See also: Poroshenko: Ukrainian constitutional thought for more than 300 years
