Online concerts and competitions are held in Mongolia on Victory Day


The Russian Center for Science and Culture in Ulaanbaatar organized online concerts and other events dedicated to Victory Day. On Friday, May 8, RCNC selected the winner of the contest Our Song in an online format. The contest on the performance of songs of war years dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was organized with Mongolian TV channel with the support of the Embassy of Russia in Mongolia. Due to restrictive measures related to coronavirus infection, the participants were unable to perform on stage, but sent their videos. A reader contest was also organized in an online format. Pupils of kindergartens and schoolchildren participated in the competition organized by RCNC in Ulaanbaatar together with the Union of Mongolian Friendship Societies. It should be noted that in 2019 the action Immortal Regiment took place for the first time in the capital of Mongolia. This year the organizers of the action Immortal Regiment Mongolia planned to expand the circle of participants, but due to the pandemic the plans changed. The action will take place on the Internet, as in other countries of the world. In the social network Facebook in the group Immortal Regiment Mongolia residents of the country publish the history of their grandparents and fathers who participated in the Great Patriotic War and fights on Halhin Gola.
