The primary election in the U. S. state of Connecticut, which was scheduled for early June, was postponed to August 11 due to the situation with the spread of the new coronavirus, on April 17, Governor Ned Lamont said on his Twitter page. The date of the Connecticut primary is postponed for the second time. They were originally planned to be held in the second half of March. According to the news agency, the first state in which the coronavirus pandemic postponed the primary election was Louisiana. Thus, the authorities of the region decided to postpone the primary from the beginning of April to June 20 and July 25.
