Foreign trade decreased by 10% in Uzbekistan


Foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to $8.14 billion, which is 10.2% less than in the same period of 2019. This was reported in the State Committee of the Republic on Statistics. During the reporting period, exports of goods decreased by 10.9%, to $3.37 billion, imports by 9.7%, to $4.77 billion. The largest volume of trade turnover is 16.9% in Russia, China 16.8%, Kazakhstan 8.3%, South Korea 6.7%, Turkey 5.8%, Kyrgyzstan 2.3%, Germany 2.1%. According to the results of the first quarter of 2020, the GDP of Uzbekistan increased by 4.1%. Gross domestic product amounted to 110.5 trillion sum ($10.9 billion).
